Vivace Micro Needle in Danville
What is MicroNeedling?
Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin. A device with fine needles creates tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin that triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin. Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as reduction in scars, pore size and stretch marks. Microneedling is a safe, chemical-free treatment to trigger new collagen. When combined with radio frequency, it becomes the newest revolution in contouring and tightening for the face, neck and body.
Vivace combines targeted micro-needling with radio-frequency energy to help stimulate and tighten the skin.
The benefits of Vivace microneedling include smaller pore size, reduced secretion of skin oils (seborrhea), minimize appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth scars, improved delivery and absorption of medical-grade skin care products and reduced occurrence of acne.
What is involved in the treatment?
The treatment itself consists of placing a hand piece against the surface of the skin and activating radio frequency energy. The hand piece consists of a multiple needle head that is accurately applied within a specified depth.
As each fine needle punctures the skin, it creates a channel that triggers the body to produce new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the papillary dermis. In addition, new capillaries are formed. This in effect creates a solid foundation of new dermal volume.
What are the benefits?
- Reduce pore size
- Reduce oil levels in the skin (seborrhoea)
- Help to reduce wrinkles and fine lines
- Enhance delivery and effectiveness of medical grade skincare creams
- Reduce acne outbreaks
Frequently Asked Questions
What does it feel like? With a numbed face, the treatment feels like little more than light pressure to the face, with occasional, light sparking feeling.
How do I determine the right treatment for me?It’s important to work with a trusted doctor who uses an FDA-cleared device to give you confidence in its safety and reliability. Seek a patient experience that has been designed to be the most comfortable experience with the greatest results. Be clear that the device used is only part of the process, the right serums and recovery system will enhance your results.
What is RF?Radio frequency (RF) provides heat that stimulates collagen production which has been found to lead to tighter, younger-looking skin. Combined with state-of-the-art microneedling, patients have experienced optimal results over other more painful microneedling treatments.
What is my recovery time? The clear, microchannels created by The Vivace remain open for four to six hours, creating opportunity to supplement the skin with serums and recovery protocols that create optimal results. After that time period, our clients are ready for a night out, with very little to no indication of any treatment that day.
How many treatments do I need? Many patients find three treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart, provide the experience they are looking for. Results can take up to three months to fully appear as the process of collagen regeneration increases over time.
How long does it take? The actual treatment takes about 45 minutes, with an additional 30 to 45 minutes needed prior for numbing.
When can I wear makeup? Most patients go out hours after the treatment with no makeup at all. We recommend at least six hours before you apply makeup, and you may even wait until the next morning.
What kind of skin does it work on?We are able to treat most skin colors, including tanned skin and dark skin.
How long does the result last?Everyone is different, but the collagen you make is your own. Over time you will likely engage in another series of treatments.
