Gynecomastia (Male Breast Reduction)

While gynecomastia is typically a benign condition, it can adversely impact a man’s confidence and self-esteem. Fortunately, we can perform male breast reduction surgery for men of any age. The first step is a medical inquiry into the potential causes for overdeveloped breast tissue. If medical interventions cannot resolve the issue, male breast reduction usually becomes the next best option. Male breast reduction can safely remove excess fat, glandular tissue and loose skin on the breast area and restore the chest to a normal contour. It’s an outpatient procedure that can be performed under intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. To contour the chest, we use liposuction, excision (surgical removal of tissue), or a combination of both.
