About FUE
Follicular Unit Extraction, or FUE, is a short surgical procedure that is performed under a local anesthetic.
During this procedure, your surgeon removes hair from a donor site at the back of your head one follicle at a time. Follicle removal creates a pinprick wound only one millimeter in diameter, which does not require any type of dressing or sutures to heal.
While performing this procedure manually would be laborious, new technology allows the procedure to be automated so that many grafts may be performed in a short amount of time.
Because your hair grafts are so small, no sutures are needed during the healing process for results that look natural immediately after the procedure.
